Electrical Engineering Foreman

The operations that make up the Group's Barberton Mines complex have been operating for over 100 years and include the Fairview, Consort and Sheba Mines. These flagship mines are long-life, high-grade operations that produce some 80,000oz of gold per year with an excellent safety record. Barberton Mines has a life of mine estimated at 20 years within the currently identified Mineral Resources. The team at Barberton Gold Mines achieved the milestone of 3 million fatality free shifts in June 2020.Description Require strong planning, leading, organizing and controlling supervisory skills and assertiveness Require strong Electrical knowledge. The key performance areas will be to plan work requirements and priorities with the operational and engineering teams, and oversee the equipment, and staff to achieve the production outputs. The incumbent will also be required to ensure that engineering employees have clear work expectations and plans and will implement and maintain all applicable safety regulations, acts, codes of practice, standards, discipline and assist with HR and IR issues. Standby duty, overtime and work on Sundays/public holidays will be required. Budget and resource planning and control, Report writing, basic engineering experience. Requirements N3 or Grade 12 Qualification Qualified artisan (Section 13B or 26D or Red Seal Trade Certificate in Electrical) Experience as an Electrical Engineering Foreman will be advantageous Valid Certificate of physical fitness Ability to read and write in English and communicate with people on different levels Computer literate (Excel, Word and e-mail) Driver's license
