Job Description

Responsibilities

• Manage and configure Fortigate firewall technologies including policy creation, cloud firewalls, SD-WAN and BGP routing.
• Manage and configure Netskope proxy technologies.
• Manage and configure F5 WAF technology.
• Assist with troubleshooting network connectivity and performance issues across WAN links, firewall and proxy technologies.
• Assist with deployment of technical solutions for detecting & preventing potential threats.
• Compile monthly reporting on security control efficacy.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Understanding of TCP/IP and networking concepts.
• Understanding of SSL encryption protocols and SSL certificates.
• Understanding of protocol. e.g. methods (POST/GET), server response codes, etc.
• Understanding of HTML language. e.g. document structure, elements, forms, etc.
• Knowledge of IT security controls (Network IPS, Vulnerability Scanning, Firewalls, Cloud Proxies, NAC, Load Balancers, WAF, Endpoint Protection).
• Relevant industry security certifications such as: Fortinet NSE4 or higher, Azure AZ-500, CISSP, etc.

Advantageous but not required:

• Exposure to different cloud services (Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud).
• Other relevant technology certifications, e.g. Azure Security Engineer Associate AZ-500, CISSP, CCSP, CCNP Security
• Use of network analysis and troubleshooting tools e.g. tcpdump, Wireshark, traceroutes, curl, telnet, etc.
• Working knowledge of load balancer and WAF technologies
• Software development for network security automation purposes e.g. Python, PHP, Bash.
• Working knowledge of Linux system administration.

Experience

• 3+ years’ experience in IT network security, specialising in firewall implementations.
