Job Description - Dispatch Manager

SUMMARY:
Lexdan Select is assisting a client in the Manufacturing sector with their search for a Dispatch Manager, based in JHB. POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

5+ years experience

Responsibilities: Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the receiving and dispatching of stock
Dispatching production and warehouse waste
Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
Ensure warehouse staff pick the correct stock to be dispatched to customers
Ensure stock items do not get mixed on the shelves
Ensure stock is packed on the correct pallets
Manage the overall housekeeping in the warehouse
Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
Plan driver trips by filling in trip sheets
Performing quality checks on received stock and delivery trucks
Performing quality checks on orders before they are dispatched
