Logistics Coordinator

Logistics Coordinator (Fruit Industry) Location : Durbanville North Our client, a leading fruit exporter situated in Durbanville, has an exciting position available for a  Logistics Coordinator .
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of logistics operations within the fruit industry.
If you have strong planning skills, can multitask effectively, and thrive under pressure while maintaining accuracy, this role might be a great fit for you. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Freight Forwarding experience.
2. Export Documentation :
   • Managing all export-related paperwork and documentation.
3. Logistics Planning and Instructions :
   • Coordinating logistics processes, including planning and providing instructions.
   • Control process from client to cold storage to Transnet
   • Ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
4. Stock Control :
   • Overseeing both export and local stock levels.
5. Systems Coordination :
   • Administering and coordinating logistics systems.
6. Report Integration :
   • Developing, setting up, and integrating reports within the logistics environment.
   • Collaborating with broader teams to enhance reporting efficiency.
7. Other Tasks :
   • Handling any additional responsibilities related to the logistics coordinator role.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Matriculation (Grade 12) :
  • A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
• Experience :
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position within the fruit industry.
• IT and Reporting Systems :
  • Knowledge and experience with IT/reporting systems commonly used in the fruit industry.
• Computer Proficiency :
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Availability :
  • Willingness to work after hours during peak fruit export seasons
• Language Skills :
  • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English).

Must have own car and drivers license.
