Job Description - Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator

Move to Spain!

My client is seeking a skilled Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator to manage the procurement process, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure efficient delivery of goods and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and releasing purchase orders, managing order acknowledgements, and tracking deliveries. Compliance with global, regional, and local contracts is essential for this role.

Job Description:

  • Create and release purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Administer order acknowledgements/confirmations and address any deviations promptly.

  • Provide purchasing support to internal stakeholders and users.

  • Identify, prepare, and propose sourcing activities to optimize procurement processes.

  • Onboard and evaluate suppliers, ensuring compliance with contract terms.

  • Utilize global, regional, and local contracts effectively within the assigned area of responsibility.

  • A seasoned individual contributor with specialized skills and extensive on-the-job experience.

  • Handles atypical assignments as needed, working within defined processes and procedures.

  • Works under limited supervision for routine situations, providing guidance to lower-level employees.

  • Analyzes non-routine problems, independently develops solutions, and adjusts working methods as required.

  • Effectively communicates practices, procedures, and policies to stakeholders outside the immediate job area.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Business-level proficiency in Spanish and English. NON-NEGOTIABLE

  • Proven experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Familiarity with procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

  • Willingness to relocate to Asturias for the long term
  • Clear record in terms of obtaining a work Visa
