Event Manager - Cape TownFull job descriptionRole DescriptionWe are seeking a full-time Event Planner to join our team in Cape Town. This is a hybrid role, and while the Event Planner will be based in our office, some work from home is acceptable. The ideal candidate should be flexible with working on weekends when we have events on or need to meet with our clients. The Event Planner will oversee all aspects of event planning, from conception to execution, to ensure that events run smoothly and seamlessly. This includes coordinating logistics, managing vendors, and communicating with clients to ensure their needs and preferences are being met. The Event Planner will work alongside other members of our team to deliver successful events that meet and exceed our clients' expectations.QualificationsProven experience as an event planner for a minimum of 3 years or in a related field. Experince in Cape Town is a plusExceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well under pressure and meet deadlinesCreative problem solving and critical thinking skillsA passion for event planning and an eagerness to stay up-to-date with industry trendsBachelor's degree in event planning, hospitality, marketing, communication or a related field is preferredProficiency in event planning software, such as Cvent or Eventbrite, Monday.com is a plusProven ability to manage budgets and negotiate with vendorsAbility to establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and partnersJob Type: Full-timeExperience:Event Management: 2 years (Required)Willingness to travel:25% (Preferred)
