Logistics Controller

Job Description

A dynamic art company isseeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Logistics Controller. This role primarily involves organising art shipments both internationally and locally, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of customs, import and export regulations. This position offers the opportunity for flexible working arrangements, including the possibility of remote work for some days. The working hours are from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with availability required online during busy periods.

Responsibilities:

• Organise and coordinate art shipments, both domestically and internationally.
• Ensure compliance with customs, import and export regulations.
• Oversee the ordering of suitable crating and packaging materials for shipments.
• Arrange insurance for shipments as required.
• Maintain accurate records and track incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Coordinate temporary storage arrangements for items shipped to international trade shows.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with relevant stakeholders.
• Anticipate and address any potential logistical issues or challenges.
• Work closely with team members to ensure timely and efficient shipment processes.
• Manage time effectively and adhere to deadlines.
  

Requirements

• Previous product export/shipping experience
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Be customer focused
• Highly organised​
