Job Description - Senior Specialist - ERP Technical Delivery Lead.Information Technology

Every initiative undertaken, every innovative stride made, every award-winning product developed, is aimed at making our clients' lives a whole lot brighter, as we lead the delivery of a 'bold, new Digital World'.JOB DESCRIPTION Oversee technical assessments, design, development, testing, troubleshooting activities, and change management to support intricate software and hardware systems consisting of multiple technical components. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure the implementation of the most suitable solutions. Understand existing and anticipated ERP functionality, including cloud-based offerings that meet business demand. Support innovative initiative processes and identify opportunities to reuse existing solutions. Provide high level analysis and design reviews to other teams to avoid duplication efforts in solving the same application problems within different products within MTN. Provide to Business and Technology stakeholders consultation on all application-related projects to guide decisions on the most suitable delivery methodology. Understand all stakeholder goals and expectations and address any misalignment and monitor and control the program to meet and where possible exceed the agreed expectations. Define, develop, and manage the application solutions roadmap in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture. Obtain buy-in from senior management and other project key stakeholders for all critical project's plans, commitments, and changes. Ensure that vendor and 3rd party developers are developing applications that comply with business specifications and implemented according to approved quality standards. Provide project leadership and support through work planning with onshore and remote teams. (Allocate tasks, set goals, and monitor team performance). Monitor the progress of project activities and frequently report on overall project progress to senior management. Draw attention to risks and issues that lie on the critical path and could potentially impact the achievement of key milestones. Work with the project team to mitigate and resolve risks and issues. Working effectively with different teams across the organization to ensure mutual interdependencies are fulfilled and coordinate the necessary readiness activities for the cutover to production. Provide project management support for automation projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope and budget. Develop and maintain detailed documentation for automation systems, including user manuals, system configurations, and maintenance procedures. Instigate and continually encourage a collaborative and innovative team environment. Conduct knowledge Sharing through forum presentations and internal training. Participate in sprint meetings and be willing to adopt agile. Mentor junior staff to ensure get opportunities to apply the developer skills that they have learnt. Customer Partner with various business units and ensure in-depth understanding of processes, existing workflows to understand their system capability needs. Identifying the most relevant and appropriate application development solution to meet the customer's business needs. Educate the business on technical ERP capabilities, champion, and drive possible automation initiatives or adoption of existing capability. Arrange regular sessions with customers to inform, educate and facilitate feedback. Adopt a proactive approach to prevent problems from arising in the future. Build and maintain solid relationships with business unit stakeholders. Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote ERP software best practices and tools. Quality Management Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of ERP solutions. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ERP solutions and implement improvements as needed. Work consistently according to standard operating procedures Understand and communicate the consequences of not maintaining quality of custom solutions. Identify areas where the quality of solutions may be improved. Analyse situations and take necessary action to ensure quality is maintained. Seek feedback from clients/ stakeholders and continuously seek ways of improving on quality. Tactical Planning and Operations: Devise, share, and execute annual ERP plans and roadmap. Engage with other operations to extract potential benefits and efficiencies achieved at a technical implementation and/or process layer. Ensure that vendor and 3rd party developers are developing applications that comply with business specifications and implemented according to approved quality standards. Provide consultation for all applications related projects so that decisions can be made as to the most appropriate delivery methodology. Provide a quick reaction task force to attend to major automation incidents with a view to improving on systems design and stability. Continuously review, improve, and integrate processes, to optimize outputs and overcome fragmentation. Ensuring that Operations is involved in a project every step of the way, such that they can prepare for ATP work and any roll-out activities. Provide Operations the opportunity to provide ideas on system evolution from the perspective of maintaining platforms on a day-to-day basis. Perform ATPs with Operations and vendors. Help test system functioning through the application of custom scripts. Strategic Input: Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in Oracle ERP technology and roadmap. Continuously assess risk and implement mechanisms and processes to overcome these risks. Drive the development of goals, tactical strategies, and plans needed to achieve the portfolio's vision and build the capabilities to enable optimal delivery with input from relevant stakeholders. Provide input to the technology roadmap defined by Group Technology and help Corporate Systems within IS to define standards. Financial: Provide input to compile and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets relating to functional activities. Provide input into the management of the budget for automation projects, including forecasting costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints. Support the creation of the business case for initiatives and projects in functional areas. Work closely with Infrastructure Architecture to ensure that licensing is optimally consolidated.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education (Essential): 3+ year Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative field (Bsc IT, Bcom IT) / Master's Degree advantageous Certification in 1 or more of the following Oracle E-Business suite applications modules. E-Business Suite Financial Management Oracle E-Business Suite 12 Supply Chain Management E-Business Suite Human Capital Management: Experience: Team leader track record of 3 years or more. Oracle ERP eBusiness Suite Oracle Fusion Warehousing and Logistics (IT Systems) On-the-job training, complemented by formal training programs in leadership and technology management (desired)
