Automotive Bodyshop

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter and Stripper to join our automotive Bodyshop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently and accurately disassembling and reassembling vehicle components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are met. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Disassemble vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and repair requirements.
2. Identify and tag all parts for accurate reassembly.
3. Inspect parts for damage or wear, and recommend replacements as needed.
4. Clean and prepare parts for painting or repair.
5. Reassemble vehicles, ensuring proper alignment and fitment of all components.
6. Test vehicle systems for proper functionality before final assembly.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Fitter and Stripper in an automotive bodyshop or similar environment.
2. Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
3. Strong knowledge of vehicle components and systems.
4. Ability to interpret technical manuals and repair instructions.
5. Attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
8. Certification or training in automotive repair and maintenance preferred.
9. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy parts and equipment.
10. Valid driver's license.
