As the Junior Financial Manager you will be responsible for the below:

• Provide leadership and oversee financial accounting, driving business growth and monitoring performance.
• Ensure finance governance and continuous improvement within the finance function.
• Deliver financial reporting with comprehensive and accurate analysis to inform decision-making, focusing on key business drivers.
• Present monthly and quarterly management account reviews to the group.
• Drive efficient month-end finalization through the implementation of standard operating procedures.
• Manage and coordinate cost-saving initiatives effectively.
• Strictly adhere to group reporting timelines and ensure financial compliance with group standards.
• Oversee working capital management, including debtor management, maintaining supplier relationships, timely payments, and stock management.
• Understand the business's capital expenditure requirements, asset utilization, capex reporting, and economic value-added modelling.
• Conduct yearly financial audits and manage tax and deferred tax calculations.
• Lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring timely submission to the group.
• Engage continuously with finance staff, providing training, identifying areas for improvement, and managing the finance team to maintain optimal performance.
• Foster a culture within the finance team that strives for continuous improvement and accountability.
• Drive the return on capital employed.
• Review and sign off on bi-weekly and monthly payroll reports.
• Ensure statutory compliance.
• Provide insights into manufacturing and product costing.
• Facilitate the import process.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Completed BCom in Accounting and related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in finance.
• Must be able to manage a team.
