Entomologist / IPM Manager

Title: IPM Manager

Reporting to: Farming Business Manager

Area: Limpopo

Key Responsibilities:

• 2 years+ experience in similar role
• Controlling and reporting on the IPM of the group’s farms
• Assessing, evaluating and managing IPM, using a combination of biological, cultural, physical, mechanical and chemical management
• Management and controlling of scouting
• Pest identification
• Assistant to the Production Manager with regards to the export quality and export market compliance audits annually or as required

Qualifications & Experience:

• BSc Agricultural degree in Entomology / BSc Environmental & Biological Sciences
• Strong knowledge and theory of IPM & Chemicals
• Practical experience in fertilizing and spraying management
• MRL Requirements
• Citrus and Mango experience will be advantageous
• Strong understanding of quality management assurance and export compliance
• Good interpersonal skills between farm management and packhouse
