Half-day Marketing Consultant

Job Description

A dynamic marketing agency is seeking a creative and client-focused half-day Marketing Consultant to orchestrate the entire marketing and campaign journey for their clients. You will wear multiple hats, from crafting strategic marketing plans and managing campaign execution to collaborating with vendors and ensuring flawless delivery. You will also be a content guardian, maintaining the quality of existing materials and taking the initiative to create fresh content that aligns perfectly with each client's specific needs. This is a half-day, permanent position based in-office in Sandton, Gauteng.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire marketing and campaign lifecycle for clients, including creation, implementation, and management of client campaigns.
• Analyse clients' existing brand image and marketing strategies, conducting market and competitor research to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare and present feedback from analysis and research in marketing workshops with clients, collaborating on the development of marketing strategies.
• Assist in creating and presenting comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to each client's needs and objectives.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and team members to plan individual accountabilities and budget for marketing strategies.
• Liaise with clients to incorporate changes or additions to the marketing strategy as needed.
• Understand clients' needs and objectives for marketing campaigns, conceptualizing campaign objectives and pitching concepts to clients.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and clients to ensure timely delivery of campaign elements and provide feedback on campaign progress and outcomes.
• Manage campaign budgets effectively to ensure client expectations are met.
• Oversee and manage content development for campaigns, including website copy, brochures, social media posts, etc., ensuring quality and alignment with client objectives.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager on content requirements and incorporate feedback from both the Marketing Manager and clients.
• Maintain regular communication with clients and suppliers to address needs, concerns, and project progress.
• Conduct monthly meetings with clients to discuss project progress and next steps, as well as quarterly and yearly strategy reviews and planning sessions.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing & Communication or related disciplines, with a degree in Business being desirable. Qualification in Digital Marketing preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a Marketing and Digital Marketing role, with at least 1 year in a client-facing role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct market and competitor research to inform marketing strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to work, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with marketing tools and platforms preferred.
