Job Description - Marketing Assistant

e.tv is South Africa's biggest independent and free-to-air television channel. Established in 1998, the channel has been in existence for over two decades and appeals to all races, genders, ages and income groups.THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The individual in the role is required to assist in developing Marketing and social media campaigns, and on collecting and interpreting marketing analytics. The individual is also required to assist in creating and updating content on multiple platforms, including website, social media accounts, blogs, and emails.

KEY DELIVERABLES

Integrated Marketing/Communications Planning Compiling, delivering, and managing of integrated strategic communication plans that adhere to set business plans and strategies aligned with key project timelines. Communicating directives outlined in campaign communication plans to all key stakeholders and supporting teams. Collaborating and coordinating with key integrated teams to formulate Marketing campaigns. Strategically positioning the e.tv brand and its content in the marketplace. Social Media Assisting in the development of social media marketing strategy. Creating original posts to be scheduled as and when required. Ensuring that the posts are editorially sound and engaging, with a focus on key marketing elements. Ensuring that the posts are scheduled according to predefined deadlines. Engaging with and managing the community across e.tv's social media accounts. Executing and curating engaging content that drives results in the social media strategy. Assisting in the creation and editing of written, video, and photo content. Attending events and producing live social media content. Maintaining unified brand voice across different social media channels. Monitoring social media channels for industry trends. Viewer Research and Insights Understanding and applying key insights for strategic integrated planning and positioning of campaigns. Assessing and interpreting ratings, competitor activity and channel research to develop strategies relevant to the brand portfolio. Monitoring market trends and overseeing promotional activities to ensure the right message is delivered for each campaign. Monitoring and Reporting Presenting of integrated monthly campaign reports to all key stakeholders. Monitoring show and campaign performances. Reporting on social media activities, campaigns, and growth.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Key Performance Indicator 1 Compiling, delivering, and managing of integrated strategic communication plans that deliver to set business plans and strategies aligned to key project timelines. Key Performance Indicator 2 Assisting in the development of social media marketing strategy. Key Performance Indicator 3 Presenting of integrated monthly campaign reports to all key stakeholders. Key Performance Indicator 4 Executing and curating engaging content that drives a result social media strategy. Requirements National Diploma in Marketing A minimum of 1-2 years within Digital Marketing
