Media Planner - Durbanull job descriptionAward winning Advertising Agency seeks a TV Media Planner to join their team.In possession of a diploma in media planning or marketing studies.Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.Must be analytical and thorough.Must have high attention to detailMust have the ability to work in a pressurized environment.Computer literate in Word, Power Point and ExcelVery organised and punctual.Must be confident, outgoing, people orientated and have the ability to interact at all levels.Duties would include media planning across TV, Radio, Press and Digital media channels.Planner would be required to create/build media schedules, recommendation of mediums within channels to fit objective & budget, negotiate discounts, optimize performance of plans, ensure implementation of plan, and compilation/consolidation of post campaign reports.Develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of client’s business and ensure that media requirements are executed in a timely and accurate manner.Required to support Media Strategists and assist with the execution of the media strategy across all channels.Control media outputs, schedules, cost estimates and financial control of media processes.Development and presentation of sound, media plans based on client marketing direction and use of media research.Previous planning and or buying experience is preferable as is working knowledge of Telmar Media SystemsJob Type: Full-timeAbility to commute/relocate:Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
