Technical Sales Representative

SUMMARY: A supplier of agricultural products is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Technical Representative to identify and pursue new sales opportunities, service existing clients and promote agricultural products and services to farms and agricultural businesses.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Must have a relevant tertiary qualification in an Agricultural field
• 2-4 years of sales or practical experience in the macadamia industry will be required
• Must have knowledge of agricultural practices and products
• Good communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, will be required
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills will be required for this role
• Proficiency in Microsoft tools is important
• Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel as required (including overnight travel)

• Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in the agricultural sector.
• Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers.
• Promoting and selling the company’s product portfolio.
• Conducting market research and staying up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activity.
• Collaborating with the sales team to achieve sales targets and goals.
• Providing exceptional customer service and support.
• Meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly sales targets.
