Job Description:
Discovery Limited is seeking a Remote PR Associate to join our dynamic and fast-paced team in Soweto, Gauteng, ZA. As a full-time position with entry-level seniority, the Remote PR Associate will play a crucial role in enhancing the company's public image and reputation.
Responsibilities: - Develop and implement public relations strategies to promote Discovery Limited's brand and products - Create and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials - Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and key stakeholders - Monitor and analyze media coverage to assess public perception of the company - Coordinate interviews, press conferences, and other public appearances for company executives - Assist in crisis management by drafting statements and managing media inquiries - Collaborate with marketing and social media teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for media coverage
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field - Minimum of 1 year of experience in PR, marketing, or related field - Independent and driven personality traits - Strong communication and creativity skills - Ability to work remotely and independently - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media platforms - Familiarity with media monitoring tools and analytics software
