1922 - Junior DPS Engineer

The main purpose of this position is to work with the CTL-SS (DPS) support team and resolve software-related issues logged with DPS and to report directly to the Department manager.

• To provide 3rd and 4th level software support on all Ctrack-related software packages locally and internationally.
• To manage and log support calls received from customers or any of our Ctrack distributors in South Africa or internationally.
• To work in close relationship with the software developers in solving problems.
• To coordinate and manage any support project required for either a customer or Ctrack distributors.


• To be able to report and document any Bugs and/or Bug fixes experienced on software/hardware products.
• To identify any product problems and possible new features for future developments.


• To follow up on support calls to strategic Ctrack Distributors and/or Branches.
• To provide software training on all products if required to do so.
• To assist in the implementation of Support Tools/Processes and the management thereof.
• To manage and maintain the knowledge base and Wiki
• To complete any other task or duty which management may reasonably expect of you.

• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Ctrack Software Products and/or IT Related Support
• Understanding of Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL
• Understanding of blob storage Azure
• Jason has file writing and basic understanding

• Grade 12/Matric with NQF 6
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
• Microsoft SQL Certification
• BEng Computer Engineering
• Azure Devops Experience
• Software backend support or development for at least 2 years
• Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals ( Exam DP-900 )
• Certification : Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals ( Exam AZ-900 )
• Windows Server Maintenance
