Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Log, manage and resolve bookkeeping-related support queries.
  
• Troubleshoot bank reconciliation's, ledgers, journals, allocations and trust surplus queries.
  
• Guide client bookkeepers on the correct use of the accounting system.
  
• Investigate problems and document their causes and resolutions.
  
• Identify recurring issues and potential software defects.
  
• Log and track defects through the appropriate internal systems.
  
• Test software corrections, enhancements and new versions.
  
• Provide professional and responsive client support.
  

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Matric or equivalent.
  
• A recognised bookkeeping certificate, diploma or equivalent qualification.
  
• Sound knowledge of bookkeeping principles, reconciliation's, ledgers and transaction processing.
  
• Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new software.
  
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Strong analytical ability, accuracy and attention to detail.
  
• A proactive and customer-focused approach.
  

Advantageous

• Winlaw or Practice Manager Accounts experience.
  
• Bookkeeping experience within a legal practice or attorneys’ firm.
  
• Helpdesk, call-centre, software-support or IT-support experience.
  
• Trust accounting knowledge.
  
• Exposure to software testing or basic networking.
