Key Responsibility Areas:
• Provides assistance on projects in the Environmental Planning and Climate Protection Department.
• Assists with the work of the Biodiversity Planning Branch during the course of its day-to-day activities.
• Collects, collates and assesses presentation of information collected through research and surveys.
• Contributes to the implementation of the National Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations and ensuring compliance with legislation.
• Assists with the work of the Climate Protection Branch.
• Responds to or re-directs enquiries from the public on biodiversity and climate change matters of a routine nature.
• Maintains the electronic databases systems.
• Undertakes site investigations with other EPCPD staff.
• Responds or redirects from the public on biodiversity and climate change matters of a routine nature.

Essential Requirements:
• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Environmental Science or Environmental Management or any other
related and equivalent qualification.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license
• 1 Year relevant experience

Preferred Requirements:
• 2 Years relevant experience.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to undertake field work.
