Key Responsibility Areas: 

• Performing the cremation of bodies. 

• Maintaining crematoria facilities grounds and infrastructure. 

• Maintaining allocated small plant and equipment in a clean and functional condition. 

• Assisting members of the general public. 

• Observing emission from the smoke stake to ensure that smoke emission is minimal. 

• Moving the coffin from the chapel to the committal chamber by engaging electronic as required.

Special Conditions:

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be able to perform the duties and functions of the post.

Essential Requirements: 

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent. 

• Certification of competency in the operation of small plant and equipment to be acquired within 6 months from appointment. 

• 3 Months relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements: 

• 6 Months relevant experience.
