Accountant

We're Hiring: Accountant – Cape Town, South Africa

Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a highly skilled professional to support our finance and operations team by managing key financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining efficient financial controls. This role is based in Cape Town, South Africa.

What You’ll Do:

• Banking & Payments – Reconcile bank accounts, manage cash flow, and oversee inter-account transfers.
  
• Accounts Management – Handle creditors, debtors, and vendor processes, ensuring smooth transactions.
  
• Financial Reporting – Prepare balance sheet reconciliation's, monthly journals, and fixed asset registers.
  
• Stock & Sales Oversight – Support stock variance analysis, manage item codes, and reconcile tasting room sales.
  
• Compliance & Audits – Oversee VAT, excise calculations, and liaise with auditors for financial and compliance matters.
  
• General Finance Support – Assist with financial administration, inter-company transactions, and ad-hoc finance tasks.
  

What You Bring to the Table:

• Post-matric qualification in accounting or finance (completed articles a plus).
  
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
  
• Proficiency in Business Central (NAV), Sage, or similar accounting software.
  
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work independently and juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
