Accountant

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to manage the finance operations of a luxury safari lodge in the Kruger National Park. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day finance operations and daily capturing of financial data
  


• Administer and reconcile debtors and creditors accounts
  


• Conduct monthly and weekly stock and inventory control
  


• Capture and reconcile cash books accurately
  


• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with financial reporting
  


• Support the preparation of financial statements
  


• Maintain strong corporate governance and internal control procedures
  


• Utilise accounting software including SAGE Cloud, Apex, and Pluspoint
  

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent
  


• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  


• Minimum 4 years’ experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
  


• Proven experience in hospitality accounting preferred
  


• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  


• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  


• High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  


• Knowledge of accounting software including SAGE Cloud, Apex, and Pluspoint
