Accountant

This critical role in a leading professional financial services firm, is designed for a detail -orientated accounting professional who thrives on providing strategic financial support to a diverse portfolio of SMEs with regards to international tax and structuring. You will act as a trusted advisor, moving beyond mere data entry to help clients navigate financial complexities and achieve sustainable growth through robust reporting and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Full -Function Financial Management: Execute day -to -day financial operations for a varied client base, ensuring meticulous bookkeeping and record maintenance.
  

• Reporting & Analysis: Utilise Draftworx and cloud -based systems to prepare accurate financial statements, management accounts, and budget analyses that drive informed business decisions.
  

• Tax & Statutory Compliance: Manage the end -to -end tax function, including SARS e -filing, VAT, PAYE, and ensuring all client activities align with South African tax legislation.
  

• Client Advisory: Provide professional insights into cash flow management and financial projections to support the unique objectives of small and medium -sized enterprises.
  

• Operational Excellence: Maintain secure filing systems and ensure all documentation meets stringent governance and audit requirements.
  

  
  

  
  

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  

• Experience: Proven experience in a professional accounting environment, specifically handling multiple client portfolios or complex SME accounts.
  

• Language Proficiency: High proficiency in both Afrikaans and English is essential for effective client communication
  

• Technical Skills: Solid understanding of IFRS/GAAP and South African tax regulations.
  

• Attributes: A solution -focused professional with strong problem -solving skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
  

  
  

  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certifications such as AGA(SA), SAIPA, or CPA.
