The employee will support the Finance Department with the day-to-day bookkeeping and
accounting operations of the entity, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. The
Accountant will play a hands-on role in keeping the financials organised and up to date across 3
jurisdictions.
Principal duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Manage accounts payable, including processing of invoices, vendor reconciliations, and
credit card reconciliations
Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing and following up on outstanding
collections
Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis and maintain accurate records of all
transactions
Maintain the general ledger and ensure bookkeeping records are complete and current
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and support the Financial
Controller with reporting requirements
Liaise with financial institutions regarding day-to-day banking transactions and account
administration
Support the annual audit and budgeting processes by preparing schedules and providing
accurate underlying records
Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the ongoing development
of finance procedures
Preferred Experience:
Proven experience in a similar bookkeeping or finance administration role
Familiarity with accounting software (experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or similar
platforms is an advantage)
Exposure to South African, US, or UK tax requirements is beneficial but not essential
Strong organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and a proactive, hands-on
approach to work
