Accountant - Burundi

 partners, a leading holding company in the steel industry, manage multiple subsidiaries across Africa specializing in manufacturing, processing, and distribution. They are currently hiring an Accountant for their Finance Department, to oversee financial and sales functions, generate analytical reports, support production planning activities, and ensure precise accounting practices in line with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee daily cash flow, record scrap material purchases, maintain ledgers, process payments, ensure on-time tax filings, and support audit requirements.
• Sales Operations: Manage purchase orders, supplier billing, shipping paperwork, sales records, and monitor inventory balances.
• General Support: Prepare production performance reports, handle employee visa processes, coordinate local procurement, and maintain SAP data backups.
• Team Leadership: Guide and train accounts staff, evaluate team output, and drive the achievement of annual objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in finance or accounting within a manufacturing environment, preferably steel industry.
• Skilled in SAP and MS Office with strong English proficiency.
