Accountant's Assistant

Job description/responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily financial accounting tasks.
• Conduct thorough review of daily expense reimbursement receipts, ensuring compliance and accuracy in reimbursement procedures.
• Handle the preparation of daily vouchers.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of managed accounts to ensure clear and reasonable balance of accounts.
• Collect, bind, compile, and archive accounting vouchers, books, reports, and other documents in a timely manner.
• Collaborate to complete other ad-hoc tasks.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric). Degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years experience in an accountant position or similar role.

Skills:

• Preference given to candidates with experience in manufacturing or sales-oriented enterprises.
• Familiarity with South African accounting standards, tax laws, and related regulations.
• Proficient in using excel and basic financial software.
• Strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and a high level of professional ethics.
• Preferably holds an accounting professional certificate and has experience working in an accounting firm.
