SUMMARY

To maintain accurate financial records and transactions.

Upload cashflow status twice a month

Manage accounts payable with the oversight of the Bookkeepers.      

Assist with reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and policies.

Support audits and provide documentation as required.

Collaborate with other finance team members to achieve financial goals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

End-to-End Creditors Management: Manage the full invoice lifecycle in Oracle, ensuring accurate VAT/tax treatment and timely validation.

International Liaising: Coordinate daily with Country Managers and Finance teams in Angola, Senegal, and Togo to secure payment documentation.

Bank & Petty Cash Oversight: Reconcile weekly bank statements and petty cash reports, preparing journals for final posting.

General Ledger Accuracy: Run daily accounting reports to ensure all transactions are correctly transferred to the general ledger.

Financial Reporting: Support cash flow visibility by updating bank positions fortnightly and converting monthly receipts to USD.

  • Vendor Onboarding: Maintain the vendor master file by loading and verifying new local and international suppliers.                                

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certificate in bookkeeping or related area
  • Minimum of years 2 years in bookkeeping

  • Proven track record of successfully managing operations and driving business growth.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Skilled in setting and managing priorities to meet tight deadlines.
  • Provide leadership and commitment to ongoing improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
