Job Description - Administrator/Accounts Payable Clerk





Administrator / Accounts Payable Clerk



Location: Bryanston



Property Type: Luxury Property Group



Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience (CTC package including medical aid and 5% provident fund contribution)


Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a luxury property group for a detail\-oriented and experienced Administrator / Accounts Payable Clerk. The successful candidate will support the finance team with day\-to\-day operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Invoice Processing:



  • Process all invoices, ensuring they are matched to purchase orders, authorised, valid, and compliant


  • Check and process all credit notes and allocate as necessary


  • Manage purchases against budgets


Supplier Reconciliations:



  • Reconcile supplier statements with company records


  • Liaise with creditors and suppliers, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner


  • Review supplier statements to ensure all documentation has been received and processed


Payment Processing:



  • Prepare payment requisitions based on reconciliations within set deadlines


  • Produce weekly aged creditors lists and take appropriate action to clear outstanding items


  • Produce 15th and month\-end aged creditors lists with commentary for review


  • Capture and allocate payments on Sage One and load payments on the online banking system


  • Ensure all financial documents are filed and organised efficiently


General Administrative Duties:



  • Assist with audit requisites and activities


  • Maintain and update intercompany/interdivision accounts, including recharges and payment allocations


  • Maintain office stationery and general administrative functions as required


  • Complete all duties assigned by the Finance Manager and Financial Accountant


Requirements:



  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Creditors/Finance, preferably within the hospitality, share block, or timeshare industry


  • Matric qualification including Mathematics


  • Proficient in Sage One Accounting and advanced Excel skills


  • Valid South African ID


  • Strong numeric and administrative skills


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills


  • Self\-starter with initiative, able to plan and manage deadlines and priorities


  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team


  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
