AI-Native Full-Stack Developer

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced AI-Native Full-Stack Developer who thrives in modern AI-assisted development environments and enjoys building products from concept through production. You'll inherit an existing Next.js and Google Cloud Platform application, review the current architecture, and continue shipping features at a high velocity while improving the overall product. This is not a task-execution role. The ideal candidate is someone who naturally takes ownership, solves problems independently, communicates proactively, and can translate high-level product requirements into production-ready software. The role will begin part-time (20 hours per week), allowing for meaningful workloads while minimizing unnecessary downtime, with a strong possibility of expanding into a full-time position as the platform scales.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand the existing Medland 360 architecture and codebase.


• Build new product features using Next.js and Google Cloud Platform.


• Own development projects from planning through deployment.


• Leverage modern AI development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to increase development speed and quality.


• Translate product requirements and AI-generated technical specifications into production-ready code.


• Improve system architecture, scalability, and maintainability.


• Identify technical improvements and proactively recommend solutions.


• Collaborate directly with the founder, providing regular updates and technical guidance.


• Assist with basic UI/UX improvements where needed using AI-assisted design workflows.


• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize existing functionality.


• Learn the long-term care pharmacy workflow and apply domain understanding to future product development.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Strong commercial experience with Next.js


• Strong backend experience using Google Cloud Platform (GCP)


• Excellent full-stack development skills


• Experience reviewing and improving existing codebases


• Strong understanding of modern web architecture


• Experience building scalable SaaS applications is highly desirable


• Comfortable working with APIs and cloud infrastructure


• Experience using Git and modern development workflows

AI-Native Development

Candidates should genuinely embrace AI-assisted software development rather than simply experimenting with it.

• Other AI coding assistants

The successful candidate should understand how AI accelerates development while still maintaining engineering quality and sound technical judgment.
