Audit Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of audits within your client portfolio.
  

• Lead planning meetings, set clear expectations, and brief team members effectively.
  

• Oversee fieldwork, review work prepared by junior staff, and provide constructive feedback.
  

• Monitor progress against deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.
  

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
  

• Liaise with partners and senior leadership on audit findings and client updates.
  

• Ensure compliance with professional standards, firm policies, and regulatory requirements.
  

• Identify opportunities for improving audit processes and adding value to clients.
  

• Train, supervise, and mentor junior team members, supporting their professional development.
  

Requirements

• CA(SA), ACA, or ACCA qualified.
  

• 2 - 3 years’ post-qualification experience in external audit.
  

• Experience in supervising, training, and developing audit teams.
  

• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and accounting frameworks (FRS 102/IFRS).
  

• Experience of group audits and consolidated financial statements.
  

• Proficiency in Caseware/ CCH/ Myworkpapers; Inflo experience advantageous.
  

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements.
  

• Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
