Band Leader Latin Band

Job Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the Latin Band, ensuring high-quality performances and maintaining a professional and positive work environment.

- Create and maintain a diverse repertoire of music, including traditional and contemporary Latin music, to cater to a wide range of guests onboard the cruise ship

- Collaborate with other entertainment team members to develop and execute creative and engaging shows and performances.

- Monitor and manage the band's schedule, ensuring timely arrival and setup for all performances.

- Train and develop band members, providing guidance and feedback to improve their skills and performances.

- Work closely with the Cruise Director and other department heads to coordinate and promote band performances and events.

- Maintain and update equipment and instruments, ensuring they are in good working condition at all times.

- Uphold safety and security standards on board, following all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Band Leader, preferably with experience in leading a Latin Band.

- Strong knowledge and proficiency in traditional and contemporary Latin music.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

- Proven experience in creating and maintaining a diverse repertoire of music.

- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing schedules and demands.

- Experience performing on cruise ships or in a similar entertainment setting is preferred.

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical exam and background check.

- Fluent in English, with proficiency in at least one other language (Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian preferred).
