Band Leader Other

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of musicians, including conducting auditions, rehearsals, and performance reviews

- Collaborate with the Entertainment Director to create engaging and diverse musical shows for guests onboard the cruise ship

- Ensure the band is well-rehearsed and prepared for all performances

- Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude while interacting with guests and colleagues

- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of performances to ensure a smooth and efficient operation

- Manage and maintain the band's equipment and instruments

- Act as a liaison between the band and other departments, such as guest services and technical crew

- Uphold safety and emergency procedures at all times

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a band leader or music director in a professional setting

- Strong leadership and communication skills

- Extensive knowledge of various music genres and ability to create diverse and engaging performances

- Ability to read sheet music and arrange music for various instruments

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing schedules and environments

- Experience performing in a cruise ship or similar setting is a plus
