Job Description - Bookkeeper

MSA Outsourcing Solutions is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our UK team. As a Bookkeeper, you will handle all aspects of financial record-keeping and reporting, ensuring precision and compliance in our financial transactions. This role is vital in supporting our clients' accounting needs and maintaining financial health.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts.
  • Generate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Support payroll processing and maintain accurate employee financial records.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.
  • Prepare and assist with external audits.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for financial management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Support Ad-Hoc administrative tasks as required.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar accounting role.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, AAT) is a plus.
  • Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance is advantageous.
  • Must be available immediately.
