Job Specifics

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Process bookkeeping transactions and complete month-end accounts.
  
• Maintain accurate client financial records.
  
• Prepare and reconcile attorney trust accounts.
  
• Investigate and resolve accounting and trust balancing differences.
  
• Assist clients with audit queries and supporting documentation.
  
• Troubleshoot accounting software issues using SQL and Microsoft Access.
  
• Resolve complex queries escalated by the support team.
  
• Provide clients with progress updates and ongoing system support.
  
• Assist with software testing, releases and client training.
  
• Complete assignments within agreed deadlines and service levels.
  

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Accounting, Accounting Diploma or relevant IT qualification.
  
• At least three years’ experience in accounting software support, bookkeeping support or a similar client-facing role.
  
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  
• SQL scripting experience.
  
• Exposure to software testing and deployment.
  
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  

Advantageous

• Legal accounting software experience.
  
• Knowledge of Legal Practice Council accounting requirements.
  
• Attorney trust accounting and reconciliation experience.
  
• Microsoft Access or basic programming knowledge.
  
• Client training experience.
