Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join the culinary team at a luxury hotel in Cape Town. This role is ideal for a passionate professional who thrives in early-morning operations and is committed to delivering consistently high-quality dishes in a premium hospitality environment.

â¢ Shift: 05h30 â 14h30

Key Responsibilities

â¢ Prepare and cook breakfast dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation

â¢ Ensure consistency in food preparation, timing and service delivery

â¢ Assist with menu planning and recipe development for breakfast offerings

â¢ Maintain strict hygiene, health and safety standards within the kitchen

â¢ Support stock control, ordering and stock rotation procedures to minimise wastage

â¢ Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth operations throughout service

â¢ Manage guest dietary requirements and special requests professionally

â¢ Maintain cleanliness and organisation within all kitchen areas

Requirements

â¢ Certificate or Diploma in Professional Cookery

â¢ Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a busy kitchen environment

â¢ Strong culinary skills with excellent attention to detail

â¢ Good understanding of kitchen operations, stock control and food costing

â¢ Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment

â¢ Strong teamwork and communication skills

â¢ Valid driver's licence and own vehicle essential

â¢ Passion for culinary excellence and continuous professional development
