Business Analyst & Accountant

Supporting the local CFO in driving revenue and cost management, this maternity contract position in an eyewear company focuses on key project analysis and ensuring the seamless production of monthly financial management accounts. Playing an active role across both finance and commercial operations, the position contributes directly to cross-functional integration and the delivery of high-standard partner support. 

Working a hybrid model with one day per week remote, this is a 5-6 month fixed-term maternity leave cover involves direct collaboration with sales operations and commercial teams to deliver targeted account analysis and accurate forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures aligned with IFRS and Group reporting standards.
  

• Provide analytical support to the CFO through the review, analysis, and reporting of actuals, variance against budget, and strategic plans.
  

• Deliver continuous support for weekly and monthly forecasting activities.
  

• Review monthly accruals and prepare journal entries for general ledger posting.
  

• Reconcile specified balance sheet accounts while investigating and resolving any variances.
  

• Coach and support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable personnel in their day-to-day duties.
  

• Prepare and review weekly payment runs.
  

• Produce weekly sales analysis reports to guide the sales team.
  

• Monitor and analyze key account performance.
  

• Conduct revenue and cost analyses for both finance and sales/commercial functions.
  

• Participate in ad-hoc business projects as required by the company.
