Business Consultant – Property & Estate Agency
Build long-term corporate relationships in cross-border foreign exchange
Johannesburg | Corporate Foreign Exchange | Salary: Market-related | Working hours: 8am – 5pm

Our client is a specialist foreign exchange and international payments provider supporting South African corporates with moving funds in and out of the country. They operate within a regulated financial services environment and are recognised for their ethical approach, client-centric mindset, and strong partner network. The business offers an entrepreneurial environment where individuals can directly influence growth and build long-term corporate relationships.

The Role: Business Consultant – Property & Estate Agency
The Business Consultant will focus on corporate clients and introducing partners within the property and estate agency space, driving foreign exchange sales and developing a sustainable regional pipeline. The role is responsible for achieving sales targets, managing senior-level client relationships, and guiding clients from initial enquiry through onboarding to full trade readiness within the corporate FX environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in sales within financial services, FX, or a related corporate environment

  • Deliver annual and monthly sales targets aligned to the overall sales strategy

  • Develop and manage long-term relationships with corporate clients and introducing partners

  • Build and expand a regional distribution network of contacts and FX market influencers

  • Maintain and develop senior-level relationships with FX partners and advisors

  • Generate, manage, and close a high volume of FX sales opportunities

  • Identify client needs and present appropriate FX solutions and services

  • Manage clients from initial enquiry through onboarding, KYC, and trade readiness

  • Prepare and maintain an annual sales plan with monthly and quarterly updates

  • Uphold ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practice principles

About You

  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in a high-pressure sales environment, preferably within financial services or FX

  • Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets

  • Strong understanding of FX sales, systems, and processes

  • Confident in cold calling, influencing, and engaging at senior and executive level

  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and results-driven

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong phone presence

  • Highly organised with strong planning, diary management, and time management skills

  • Professional, presentable, and confident with emotional maturity and gravitas

  • Team-oriented and comfortable working within a small, close-knit team

  • Fast learner who adapts well to change and evolving demands

  • Matric qualification with regulatory exams (RE) and FAIS compliance

  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans is advantageous

  • A relevant business or legal qualification would be beneficial
