Business Development Manager

Axalio is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to advance their mission of transforming the artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) sector. This role is pivotal in leveraging blockchain technology and financial innovations to promote sustainable development and financial inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement business strategies to expand Axalio’s influence in the African ASM sector.
• Identify and cultivate partnership opportunities to grow business and help the company expand.
• Maintain robust relationships with existing partners and stakeholders, including local communities, government entities, and financial institutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement technology solutions that address market needs.
• Ensure business activities are aligned with Axalio’s commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, Mining Engineering, or related fields.
• 3-4 years of related business development experience, preferably within the mining or financial sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of the mining industry, specifically ASM, and the African business environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of real-world assets and technologies such as Fintech and Blockchain.
• Experience in wealth management, traditional banking, and microloan services is a bonus.
• Strong track record in developing strategic business plans and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Focus and goal-oriented approach.
