About the role


 The Business Intelligence Specialist (BIS) is responsible for building, maintaining, and governing business intelligence reports and dashboards across all departments within Reflex.


 


This role ensures that accurate, trusted, visually clear, and decision-ready data is consistently available for operational, management, and executive reporting, including key client-facing reports where applicable.


 


The BIS does not perform business analytics or operational analysis, but instead focuses on: 



  • High-quality BI delivery

  • Data integrity and governance

  • Stakeholder accountability for data quality



Business Intelligence & Reporting



  • Design, build, and maintain complex, business-critical dashboards and reports across:

    • Operations

    • Service Delivery

    • Sales & Commercials

    • Finance

    • Customer Support

    • Executive & EXCO reporting



  • Develop Power BI dashboards that are:

  • Visually appealing

  • Intuitive and easy to interpret

  • Consistent with Reflex reporting standards

  • Ensure dashboards clearly communicate:

    • Performance

    • Trends

    • Status

    • Risks

    • Support internal and external (client-facing) reporting requirements




 


Data Quality & Governance



  • Act as a custodian of reporting data quality

  • Audit source data used for dashboards to ensure:

    • Completeness

    • Accuracy

    • Consistency

    • Timeliness



  • Identify data quality issues and:

    • Trace them to source systems

    • Engage accountable stakeholders

    • Track remediation to resolution



  • Define and enforce data definitions, standards, and rules for reporting

  • Ensure alignment with data governance and information security principles


 


Stakeholder Engagement & Accountability



  • Work with data owners across all departments to:

    • Define reporting requirements

    • Validate data sources

    • Resolve inconsistencies



  • Hold stakeholders accountable for:

    • Correct data capture

    • Ongoing data hygiene

    • Changes that impact reporting accuracy



  • Act as a trusted BI partner to:

    • Department heads

    • Operational managers

    • Executive leadership




 


Qualifications and Experience 



  • Advanced Power BI experience:





    • Data modelling

    • DAX measures

    • Performance optimisation





  • Strong SQL or data querying skills

  • Experience working with:





    • Multiple source systems

    • Operational and transactional datasets





  • Strong understanding of:

    • Data structures







    • Reporting accuracy

    • Data validation technique





  • Diploma or Degree in:

    • Information Systems

    • Business Information Technology

    • Data / Analytics

    • Computer Science

    • Industrial Engineering



  • Minimum of 2 - 3 years working experience 

  • Contact Center or ISP experience
