Minimum Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12
• Relevant qualification in Buying would be advantageous.
• 5-6 years Buying experience in a retail environment.
• Good understanding of Retail.

Responsibilities:

• Formulating a strategy for forthcoming season.
• Designing and building a balanced assortment and presenting to Executives and Directors.
• Brief suppliers and negotiate programs and fashion drops.
• Buy a balanced assortment according to the assortment sales plan.
• Constantly monitoring current trend to react to trade, then actioning the effects of both current and forthcoming buys.
• Analysing past seasons, strategizing for forthcoming seasons based off trend and sales and then presenting to managers.
• Consistent monitoring of competitor price points.
• Product sourcing and supplier sourcing.
• Store visits.
• Signing off of approvals/fits.
