Job Description - Chef de Partie

De Baba Eatery is a bakery located in Melville. We are looking to hire a CDP to oversee our hot kitchen. Main responsibilities will be:
- stock management, minimising waste, ordering stock, stock rotation
- designing specials menu and new menu items
- managing and motivating line cooks
- ensuring food is expedited speedily
- training of team
- ensuring a high and consistent standard is maintained with every meal that goes out

Requirements

- you will have a minimum of 5 years experience in the kitchen
- you will have a passion for food, cooking and providing an experience to people eating your food
- you will have an excellent palate and a curiosity about flavours and different ingredients
- own transport
- be hardworking
- be able to stand for long periods of time
- be available to work weekends and evenings
- be able to lead a team effectively
- have experience with costing and designing of menus
- excellent time management and communication skills
