Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Mining & Natural Resources

A large -scale international natural resources business is entering a significant growth and funding phase and is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team.

This role requires a commercially focused finance executive with strong exposure to project development, capital raising, and international stakeholder engagement within the mining and resources sector.

The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, financiers, investors, and strategic partners across multiple international jurisdictions while helping support the next phase of project growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead corporate financial strategy and commercial planning
  
• Support capital raising and project financing initiatives
  
• Manage relationships with investors, financial institutions, and strategic stakeholders
  
• Oversee financial governance, reporting, and risk management
  
• Support board -level reporting and engagement
  
• Assist with strategic growth initiatives and commercial negotiations
  
• Contribute to international expansion and funding activities
  

Requirements

• 15+ years’ senior finance leadership experience
  
• Strong background within mining, resources, energy, or large -scale infrastructure projects
  
• Proven experience in project finance and capital raising
  
• Exposure to listed or internationally structured organisations
  
• Strong investor relations and stakeholder management experience
  
• Experience engaging with international financial markets
  
• Commercially minded with strong strategic capability
  
• Willingness to travel internationally
  

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to multinational operations
  
• Experience working across emerging markets or Africa
  
• Strong understanding of large -scale project development environments
  

Location

Cape Town based with international travel requirements.
