Job Description - Client Outreach & Engagement Specialist - US Healthcare | Remote | EST Hours

Description

ISTA Personnel Solutions is a dynamic and fast-growing BPO company. We are not a recruitment agency. We partner with international US clients and integrate our staff members directly within our clients' operations. We focus on long-term placements where you contribute directly to the client's success.

About The Job:

Our client is a US-based healthcare technology company with a platform offered completely free of charge to nursing facilities across the United States. They are building a dedicated outreach function and need someone who can genuinely connect with social workers and discharge coordinators — busy professionals who would benefit from this tool but are difficult to reach, and even harder to hold the attention of once you do.

This is not a traditional sales role. There is no contract to sign, no fee to justify, and nothing to close. The platform costs facilities nothing. Your role is to get through to the right people, have a real conversation, help them understand why the platform makes their work easier — and then stay with them until they're actually using it.

The person who thrives here is not the relentless closer chasing targets. It's the person who genuinely enjoys conversation, knows how to read a room (or a call), and gets satisfaction from helping someone. If you communicate naturally and confidently in English, have a background in relationship-building rather than hard selling, and take quiet pride in the quality of your interactions, then this role was written with you in mind.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00am – 6:00pm EST (15:00 pm – 00:00am OR 16:00pm – 01:00am South African Time, depending on U.S. daylight savings).
  • Public Holidays: You will be required to work on both South African and U.S. public holidays. Compensation for South African public holidays will be provided in accordance with the BCEA. 
  • Internet Requirements: A fixed fibre line with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps (upload & download) is mandatory. 
    A wired Ethernet connection is required. Candidates without a fixed fibre line cannot be considered. 
  • Power Backup:  A reliable power backup solution is required to manage load shedding or outages. Candidates without backup power cannot be considered. 
  • Work Environment: Fully remote. 

What the Role involves:

  • Reaching out to nursing facilities across the US — primarily by phone, supported by email and LinkedIn
  • Having genuine, unhurried conversations with social workers and discharge coordinators; building enough rapport and trust for them to take the next step
  • Independently researching and sourcing direct contact details using tools such as Apollo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator — finding the right person, not just calling the front desk
  • Coordinating onboarding for interested facilities and following up thoughtfully with contacts who've shown interest but haven't yet activated on the platform
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date CRM records to track every interaction and manage your follow-up pipeline
  • Supporting newly onboarded facilities through the early stages of platform use — converting sign-ups into genuinely active users


Requirements

Who You Are:

  • English is your first language, and you communicate with warmth, clarity, and confidence
  • You have experience in a role that required you to build and maintain relationships — account management, customer success, relationship sales, or similar
  • You're comfortable on the phone and naturally good at putting people at ease
  • You're a self-starter who takes ownership of your work and doesn't need to be micromanaged
  • You're organised, you follow through, and your pipeline is never a mess
  • You're resilient in the right way — this role involves persistence, but you don't let a difficult call define your day

Benefits

What You'll Earn:

You will earn a basic salary paid in South African Rands. In addition, you'll earn commission paid in US Dollars for every facility that signs up and gets active on the platform for the first time. It isn't a high-value commission structure, but it's a genuine, tangible top-up — and it pays in dollars.
