Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef for a renowned fine dining restaurant in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring chef to develop their skills in a professional, fast-paced kitchen while working alongside an experienced culinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.
  


• Ensure all food is prepared to the restaurant's standards.
  


• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic workstation.
  


• Support senior chefs with daily kitchen operations.
  


• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  


• Assist with stock rotation and ingredient preparation.
  


• Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  


• Contribute positively to a collaborative kitchen environment.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably within a fine dining environment.
  


• Culinary qualification will be advantageous.
  


• Passion for food and eagerness to learn and develop.
  


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  


• Ability to work well under pressure.
  


• Positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
  


• Good communication and teamwork skills.
  


• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  

Package

• Salary of R6,000 – R8,000 depending on experience.
