Main Purpose of The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the ISO Integrated Management System and Healthcare Quality Management System requirements & processes and all relevant legal and commercial requirements. This includes maintenance of all Quality protocols and site certifications including all related internal and external audits.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in industry with experience in all job-related requirements listed below;


• QSHE Management, including ISO 9001:2015/14001:2015/45001:2018;


• Implementation,monitoring and maintenance of HealthcareQMS system


• Ensure OHSAS Legal Compliance through Legal Compliance auditing;


• Ensure compliance to DSV Policies, Health and Safety Regulations, Processes, Work Instructions, Maintenance Schedules, Audits (internal and external), licenses, accreditations, and Local Authority requirements;


• Appointment and maintenance of all roles within QSHE and HealthcareQMS framework;


• Training: Ensure all parties are trained effectively by accredited parties and licenses are renewed in time to prevent lapse;


• Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach and continuously develop & improve quality, and other related obligations; and


• An understanding of quality assurance and audit processes in relation to quality management systems and transport management systems.


• Problem Solving: Effective Root Cause Analysis, Trend Analysis, Problem Solving and implementation of Corrective and Preventative Measures; 


• Incident Reporting: On-time, professional, accurate and thorough incident reporting training, support & incident trend analysis.  


• Auditing: Preparation, execution and reporting;


• Stress and Conflict: Effective techniques and/or skills to manage conflict, cope with stress and work under pressure to meet deadlines;


• Supervision: All supervisory functions required within job description (Planning, Organizing, Leading, Controlling, Monitoring) carried out independently, effectively, and reliably;


• Communication: Communicate effectively (written and verbal) to manage and meet both internal and external customer expectations;


• Commercial: Ensure operations always compliant within framework of client contracts and SLA’s, supplier agreements and local authority legal requirements;


• Continual Improvement: Drive continual improvement relative to QSHE and Healthcare Quality Management Systems


• Contractor Management: Ensure all contactors are on DSV preferred provider list, meet all SHE requirements (compliant licenses, accreditations, processes, staff, training, and equipment), have suitable safety files and are


• audited daily whilst on site to ensure SHE standards are always met;

Qualifications: 

• Matric (essential)


• Quality, Health and Safety, or Environmental related qualiification + min 3 years’ experience in a similar role (essential). 


• Involvement in the implementation and auditing of Management Systems for ISO 9001:2015 / 14001:2015 / 45001:2018 / Healthcare QMS (essential)  


• Supplier Management – experience in auditing of suppliers and service providers (essential).

Computer packages

• Intermediate proficiency in Excel for data management and reporting


• Office 365

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance to QSHE & HealthcareQMS policies, standard operating procedures, statutory requirements as well as contractual obligations;


• Write, review, train, implement, sustain & audit procedures / processes / workflows or other, as and when required to ensure compliance with adopted QSHE and Healthcare QMS; 


• Active participation in audits whether internal, client, statutory or other;


• Active participation in non-conformance closure through appropriate implementation of corrective action to ensure robustness of adopted QSHE / Healthcare processes; 


• Active participation in continual improvement;


• Implementation and management of Occupational Health & Safety standards;


• Proactive engagement within operational undertakings to ensure prompt escalation to relevant manager in the event of system failure and / or operational weaknesses or necessary enhancements;


• Support the Management team through the communication of current issues and continuous improvement opportunities identified at Branch level. Tasks include:


• Report writing in respect of KPI’s;


• Daily / Weekly / Monthly reporting of QSHE/HealthcareQMS requirements


• Daily / Weekly / Monthly inspections aimed at QSHE and HealthcareQMS requirements


• Completion of annual management review of the QSHE and HealthcareQMS


• Active participation in supervisory tasks, including but not limited to:


• Planning, organising and reporting


• Attendance of meetings


• Facility and Equipment: Ensure that entire facility and all equipment is continuously maintained to required health and safety and HealthcareQMS standards. This includes updated Maintenance Registers and retention of maintenance records


• Contractor Management: Ensure all contactors are on DSV preferred provider list, meet all SHE requirements (compliant licenses, accreditations, processes, staff, training, and equipment), have suitable safety file and are audited daily whilst on site to ensure HSE standards are always met; 


• Maintenance and retention of QSHE and HealthcareQMS documentation in accordance with documented procedures.

Electives/ Added Advantages 

• Logistics and Supply Chain and Logistics related qualification.
