Executive-Level Construction Leadership Role

SASSO Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a leading client seeking a highly experienced Construction Director to provide strategic oversight across multiple large-scale developments in Gauteng.

This is a senior executive leadership position requiring proven delivery capability at Director level.

STRICT NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

Please do not apply if you do not meet all of the below:

Minimum 7+ years in senior construction leadership
(Director / Head of Construction / Senior Contracts Manager level)

Completed Postgraduate qualification (NQF 8+)
Examples: MSc, MEng, MBA, Honours, Postgraduate Diploma
National Diplomas / BTech alone do not qualify

Active professional registration
(PrCPM, PrCM, PrEng, PMP, MRICS or equivalent recognised body)

Proven track record managing multiple large-scale construction projects simultaneously

Demonstrated leadership of Project Managers, QS teams, Site Managers and Contractors

Strong commercial, operational and governance capability

Based in Gauteng or willing to relocate

The Role

The Construction Director will be responsible for:

Executive oversight of project portfolios
Strategic planning, programme alignment and resource optimisation
Governance, compliance and risk management
Commercial oversight and cost control
Performance management of senior construction teams
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards

This is not a Project Manager role — this is a portfolio-level construction leadership position.
