Job Description

Source and contract regional contracts in a commoditized and centrally managed manner, in order to ensure security of supply and optimise supplier performance and value in the allocated portfolio, and act as an interface between Supply Chain and the business. To support the data analysis and of contracts and sourcing events across strategic commodities and strategic services.

Your role will include:

  • Sourcing & Contract Management:
    • Lead end-to-end sourcing and contracting activities across specific categories, including sourcing plans, event execution, contract administration, inclusive procurement, and supplier performance management.
  • Strategic Alignment & Planning:
    •  Develop and implement sourcing and contracting strategies that align with regional strategic priorities, global supply chain goals, and business unit needs.
  • Value Creation & Inclusion:
    • Drive value creation through commercial initiatives, supplier engagement, and inclusive procurement opportunities, ensuring alignment with performance targets and business priorities.
  • Execution & Efficiency:
    • Ensure timely, effective, and resource-optimized execution of corporate, regional, and business unit contracts, delivering value-driven sourcing and contracting outcomes.

Interface Management

  • Stakeholder & Supplier Collaboration:
    • Act as the primary liaison for resolving Supply Chain issues, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and managing strategic supplier relationships to drive innovation and value.
  • Contract Handover & Implementation:
    •  Ensure smooth and high-quality handover of contracts to site-based Supply Chain teams for effective implementation and ongoing performance management.
  • Supplier Relationship Management (SRM):
    • Embed SRM practices within operations to build strong, mutually beneficial supplier partnerships, and support negotiations to enhance commercial outcomes.
  • Advisory & Policy Support:
    • Educate and advise asset stakeholders on Supply Chain policies, standards, and supplier strategies to ensure compliance and effective execution.

Reporting and Information Support

  • Data Management & System Support:
    •  Maintain a centralized system for managing legal and electronic files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation to support business operations.
  • Business Intelligence & Optimization:
    • Use data analysis and management information to identify process gaps and bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations to drive continuous improvement and supply chain optimization.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a relevant discipline
  • A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (advantageous)

Experience:

  • Proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity
  • 5 Years' experience in a supply chain function would be advantageous
  • Exposure to the Supply Chain and/or commercial environment would be advantageous
  • SAP Ariba will be advantageous

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong mathematics/analytical acumen
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • SAP Experience
  • Strong logic and problem-solving ability.
  • Impeccable integrity/ ethics
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong administrative ability
  • Team orientation
  • Good communication (verbal and written)
  • Document management (online & offline)
  • Methodical and accurate filing ability
