Join our innovative and dynamic team as a Costing Clerk.
we are seeking a meticulous and detail -oriented Costing Clerk to join our Admin Department.
You will be responsible for the following:
Update calculation spreadsheets when new or improved manufacturing processes are established.
Computing costs and calculating rates for goods, services, and shipment of goods
Update these costs on a costing database to enable estimation of costs.
Maintain a history of all quotes done for reference.
Update reports when necessary.
Conduct variance analysis when a variance is reported by a relevant stakeholder.
Estimate manufacturing methods/times and material costs using the relevant database.
Maintain database of costs for various types of raw materials by benchmarking costs of items.
Submit accurate prices on time for proposals/tenders.
Calculate selling price using the agreed mark up.
Run monthly costing reports.
Monitoring expenditures of various projects to ensure that they are within their budgetary limits
Seek out ways to reduce costs.
Set up costing reports and send to Cost Accountant for review and approval.
Requirements
Requirements:
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services
Maintaining Cost Accounting System
Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
Reconciles finished goods inventories
Education & Experience:
An associate degree in accounting or at least some college accounting courses
Two years of experience in lieu of an associate degree
Good computer skills, math skills and basic bookkeeping
Proficiency with excel spreadsheets and the ability to work on many projects with different deadline is important
