Credit Controller

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess creditworthiness and grant credit to customers, liaising with credit bureaus
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve queries in a timely manner
• Capture orders, generate pro forma invoices, process receipts, and allocate payments
• Monitor and process credit notes, including returns and credits linked to goods
• Maintain accurate records of the debtors' book and generate regular reports
• Collaborate with the sales team to resolve outstanding issues and support order flow
• Manage overdue accounts, initiate payment plans, and handle "on hold" customers
• Support SARS/SARB requirements for export-related transactions
• Assist in legal or customer account reviews by providing necessary documentation
• Demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making and uphold financial procedures

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 5 to 8 years experience in credit control or financial administration
• Matric (Grade 12) is required; a tertiary qualification in credit management is strongly preferred
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile complex accounts
• Strong communication skills with a confident, assertive personality
• High emotional intelligence, capable of managing sensitive financial discussions
• Attention to detail, urgency in execution, and calm under pressure

Package & Remuneration

• R300,000 R320,000 CTC per annum
