Data & AI Solutions Specialist

To design, build and enable effective data, analytics, and AI solutions by understanding Capitec’s data environment, translating business needs into well -structured AI -ready data, and delivering practical, user -focused solutions that drive insight and business value.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse existing data structures, models and flows, and design best -practice data architecture solutions.
  
• Design and build dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions to support business decision -making.
  
• Design, configure and build AI agents / copilots for internal users.
  
• Contribute to the AI strategy with focus on practical enablement and business value.
  
• Work across data, analytics and AI platforms to deliver end -to -end solutions.
  
• Translate business requirements into scalable data, analytics and AI solutions.
  
• Collaborate with data engineers, BI developers, solution architects and business stakeholders.
  
• Ensure high data quality, governance and documentation.
  

Minimum Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data, Analytics or related field.
  
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
  
• Experience in a data/analytics -focused role (Data Analyst, BI Developer, Technical Business Analyst, Data Engineer or AI Specialist).
  
• Hands -on experience building dashboards and analytics solutions (Power BI, Qlik or similar).
  
• Proven ability to translate business needs into data/analytics/AI solutions.
  
• Experience working with relational databases and data modelling.
  

Ideal / Advantageous

• Experience in financial services or banking.
  
• Exposure to AWS cloud platforms.
  
• Practical experience building or configuring AI agents, copilots or LLM -based solutions.
  
• Experience with APIs and data integration.
  
• Postgraduate qualification or AI/Data certifications.
